Arctic Wolf
Arctic Wolf delivers dynamic 24x7 cybersecurity protection tailored to the specific needs of your organization. Ready to boost your security posture?Ready to further your career in the fast-paced, exciting world of cyber security?
Arctic Wolf, with its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. We have won countless awards for our excellence in security operations and remain dedicated to providing an industry-leading customer and employee experience.
Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Developer to be part of making this/that happen.
About the Role
Our team tackles some of the most difficult problems: taking the centuries of collective security knowledge of our security experts and scaling that across hundreds of billions of observations per day. We need your help to do it. We’re looking for someone to take our infrastructure and expand it to handle hundreds of machine learning jobs, trillions of daily events, and make it all effortless to use. If that sounds like a challenge you’re ready to tackle, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities Include:
Build out our machine learning platform to handle hundreds of billions of observations per day
Add tooling for our data scientists to train, test, and get feedback on their machine learning models with minimal effort
Improve how we deploy, monitor inputs/outputs, and retrain machine learning jobs to scale to hundreds of models
Integrate with various data sources and anonymize the data for machine learning work
Mature our machine learning pipeline into a customizable platform, allowing data scientists and security professionals alike to update production jobs
We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams over four days to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. While innovation is the focus, some of these ideas do make it into our products.
About You
You’re an experienced Developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges with little to no guidance. You care about writing quality code that is maintainable. Working collaboratively in cross-functional teams is your thing. Colleagues look to you for guidance on software development best practices.
You should have extensive work experience in the following areas:

Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spark, Java, and Python

Relevant experience with one of Go or Java
In addition, you have proven Machine Learning experience from previous projects, regardless of title held. You have the ability to perform programming tasks and large engineering projects with Independence and expertise. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring other staff members and will regularly lead technical projects. You have a high level of mastery over software development best practices and building reusable design patterns.
Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.
