As a member of the Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to explore and understand how millions of guests and hosts interact with Turo’s marketplace, and use data to solve meaningful business problems. Examples of projects you would work on include, but are not limited to - understanding how hosts interact with our platform, improving host retention, identifying levers to unlock supply growth, understanding how guests and hosts interact with Turo’s Customer Support teams, optimizing customer support metrics etc. You will closely work with product/operations counterparts and influence the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data sets and come up with actionable recommendations, test these recommendations and share learnings with stakeholders 
  • Conduct exploratory analysis - to identify new product insights, and improve domain expertise to answer complex business questions
  • Present analysis and recommendations to all levels of the company and work with product teams to rapidly execute and iterate
  • Create and monitor key metrics, and understand all underlying drivers
  • Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to improve infrastructure and reporting 
  • Support ad-hoc analytical projects based on Turo strategic priorities
  • Provide intellectual honesty and unyielding integrity in all aspects of the role

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in product/data analytics, data science, or similar role
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • Experience using Google Sheets/MS Excel and Google Slides/MS PowerPoint
  • Experience using data visualization tools (i.e., Domo, Tableau, Looker)
  • Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Strong communication skills: ability to decompose and articulate complex insights, and be direct when things are unclear
  • Thrive working in a collaborative environment; ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels
  • Must have a positive attitude, high integrity, strong work ethic, and a commitment to Turo’s mission
