YOUR MISSION

As a leader within ADAS & AD Sensing Components Business Units, the ADAS & AD Sensing Technology and Product Strategist is responsible for developing a comprehensive product strategy by identifying new market opportunities, assessing the business unit’s current product offering positioning, performance, and plays an integral role in identifying and engaging with lead customers and strategic partners for the product and business execution. 

This leader will deliver the components and software product vision, performance, compelling market positioning leading to significant revenue and profit growth. The person in this role must have implemented product line strategies with hands-on complex product development experience while being able to lead complex strategic selling and positioning with leading automotive and technology companies.

This is a strategic role within the ADAS and AD sensing components business unit and will work very closely with the VP-GM of the BU to deliver compelling solutions to the market leading to explosive revenue and profit growth while gaining significant market share in ADAS and AD Sensing Components.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research and Competitive Analysis

  • Components and software product strategy through research and analysis for both business unit performances and competitive landscape to identify unserved needs and market opportunities for expansion.
  • Identify key product and / or solution gaps within ADAS and AD Sensing Components business unit, to include identification of viable alternatives (organic and M&A) to close these gaps.
  • Identify and execute on both short-term and medium-term product and solutions alternatives/extensions from within current technology set that meet specific needs and positively impact business objectives, including packaging, bundling, targeted/improved pricing strategies, and sales/marketing enhancements.
  • Monitor and keep abreast with industry trends and competitors. Provide regular market analysis and mitigation planning.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Serve as a key member of the Business Unit Management team that sets strategic direction.
  • Work closely with the VP-GM and the management team in developing overall ADAS and AD sensing components product strategy to drive customer value and revenue growth.
  • Develop a list of M&A targets with detailed fundamental business and technology analysis to accelerate growth and expand addressable market.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnership division who are responsible for developing joint development opportunities with Ecosystem partners.
  • Interface with internal and external; stakeholders to ensure product roadmap is maintained.
  • Develop Strategic Technology and Product Marketing Plan in collaboration with Product Management and Communication & Marketing teams.

Strategic Business and Partner Development

  • A key aspect of this role is to think about the future of the Business Unit expansion in the ADAS and AD market by engaging with key automotive OEMs, Tier-1s and leading sensor makers and to develop in collaboration with the sales team a compelling positioning to achieve design wins and production awards.
  • Deliver an expanding ADAS and AD portfolio of sensing components and software enabling smart sensing solutions leading to high volume production awards.
  • Identify and engage with strategic partners that will enable low risk execution, compelling complementary offering and accelerate customer/market success.

The ideal person for this job will have

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.
  • Successful 10+ years technology and product management experience within a fast-paced organization and high-growth industry.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in developing and leading the technology components and software product roadmap, delivering substantial company growth in a highly competitive deep-tech sector.

  • Strategic thinking, enabling to effectively lead the development and implementation of a product strategy for the organization to achieve its key financial and growth goals.
  • Data savvy. A major part of your job will be gathering and analyzing data from the company’s performance, the users’ interactions with our products, and our competitors. Find insights and new opportunities performing market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills. To succeed, you’ll need to communicate with different people and teams across the company, as well as people outside the organization. You’ll need a strong working relationship with the business development, sales, product management, engineering, operations, CTO, strategic partnership, and communication & marketing teams. You will also need to know how to effectively communicate a proposal for a new market or product to the executive team and investors.
  • Proven exceptional skills in leadership, consulting/coaching, analytical and problem solving, and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to launch and scale new businesses from ideation to product execution to profitable revenue growth.
