Senior Data Engineer

Credit Sesame is a hyper growth company in the exploding FinTech industry. We are creating a whole new market category in financial services that sits at the intersection of a credit market place and credit builder digital banking services with the clear purpose to make financial inclusion and wellness a reality for everyone. 
We’re looking for an innovative and adaptable Senior Data Engineer to partner with our Analytics team to help us drive both growth and user acquisition. This team member will help move data into centralized locations and dashboards to help decision-making across the business. You'll...

• Architect, design and manage Credit Sesames data warehouse in a massive parallel processing (MPP) platform in support of Credit Sesames data infrastructure objectives and requirements. 
• Apply expertise in cloud computing, work within distributed data environments, and design schemas, data object models, and data flow diagrams. 
• Improve and optimize Credit Sesames existing data-driven products and services. 
• Further data deliverables through the optimization of data quality. 
• Perform data quality analysis and data mining in large SQL databases. 
• Apply predictive modeling theories to recommend solutions to complex business problems. 
• Enhance data usability, metadata management, data quality, data governance frameworks and standards for data vocabulary. 
• In accordance with enterprise-wide architecture standards and processes, design application data structures, storage, and integration. 
• Map the flow of data across Credit Sesame products and building data governance frameworks for Master data. 
• Utilize database reporting, programming, and analytical tools to perform data manipulation, data extractions, and merging of large and complex data. 
• Create data models (staging, core, reporting layers) for processing and storage within the MPP platform. 
• Collaborate with software development, engineering, and other teams to improve data responsiveness quality and usage according to Credit Sesames existing data infrastructure. 
• Employ analytical tools, such as Teradata, Oracle, Redshift, AWS (S3, SNS, SQS, EC2), PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Java, Python, and PVCS.

You’ll make an impact because…

• you have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field'
• you hav five (5) years of progressive experience in Software Development, Software Engineering, or related experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software components that enhance software development initiatives;
• you have five (5) years of designing and developing extract, transform, load (ETL) processes for data warehouses;
• you have five (5) years of contributing to the development, delivery, and maintenance of technology-based business solutions;
• you have five (5) years of designing, coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications;
• you have five (5) years of designing and developing software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements;
• you have five (5) years of developing and deploying database solutions based on relational database and data warehouse technologies;
• you have five (5) years of performing source data assessment for consistency and quality;
• you have five (5) years of developing and maintaining business objective reports; and utilizing Redshift, Oracle, Python, Groovy, Git, MySQL, Spark, and Linux.
