Jane Technologies, Inc. is an MIT-founded technology company in the cannabis industry, and we are growing extremely quickly. Our technology digitizes dispensary inventories and creates virtual menus to allow users to explore, purchase, and review products. Our secret sauce is a clean product catalogue with rich content, which we use to map inventory across thousands of stores to a single product. For this reason, we have some of the cleanest transactional, browsing, and product data in the industry. And we’re looking for a passionate, personable, creative, and entrepreneurial Senior Data Scientist to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Helping to manage the team’s workload and priorities
• Mentor and grow the skills of our Data Science team 
• Create interactive dashboards for partners and internal users
• Import data from multiple sources into centralized storage using APIs, SQL queries, etc.
• Working directly with dispensary and third party data buyers to provide reporting
• Assist with machine learning models to help enrich the user experience

Minimum qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in a Data Science related role
• SQL (PostgreSQL preferred, but any variation will suffice)
• Python (pandas preferred)
• Data Visualization
• Handling APIs to export/import data
• Effective communication/presentation
• Experience managing junior level data scientists

Nice to haves:

• Salesforce API
• AWS + S3
• Advertising experience
• Cannabis industry knowledge
