About Klarna
Klarna was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2005. Since then we've changed the banking industry forever. And now we're creating the world's smoothest shopping experience. We serve over 90 million consumers worldwide, and partner with 250,000 merchants – with a new merchant joining us every 8 minutes. Including some of the world's leading brands, such as H&M, ASOS, IKEA, Adidas, Samsung and Lufthansa. Our offices are spread over 17 different markets, hosted by 5000+ employees from 100+ nationalities.
Klarna’s Compliance North America Team (CNAT) is looking to hire a dedicated Compliance Data Analyst (CDA). The CDA’s value is achieved through unlocking insights into levels of compliance based on an expert level of understanding of operational data. The CDA partners with other members of CNAT to understand conclusions about the level of compliance success the business operations are achieving. The CDA will have a high degree of autonomy crafting data models and pushing through solutions which helps CNAT further utilize data to achieve automation in compliance processes, unlock further insights into operational behavior of targeted processes, and establish active tracking of key risk indicators to achieve strong awareness of the state of compliance throughout Klarna’s compliance risk universe.
What you will do:As a member of the Compliance North America Team (CNAT), you will be responsible for continuing to build and maintain the Compliance Monitoring System by using SQL and visualization tools to monitor and test compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate closely with members of CNAT to continue to strengthen the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program through utilization of data models, insight, mining, and manipulation. You will add further value to CNAT through identifying opportunities to automate testing, as-needed data querying and analyzing, as well as establishing and perfecting regularly scheduled data requests.
Additional responsibilities include: partnering with Product and Operational Teams to help build robust tracking of key risks throughout the organization, and supporting compliance activities (oversight reviews, ad-hoc investigations, license filings and reporting, and others) through data insight and analysis. Insights derived from this system will be leveraged throughout Compliance and across Klarna to quickly mitigate risks, improve processes, and add resources.
Long-term success of this role will come in the form of identifying and eliminating inefficiencies with respect to CNAT’s data needs; establishing robust, responsive, and mature data models and systems, to include advanced warning systems for key risk indicators; and partnering with enterprise-wide compliance teams to establish a team of compliance-dedicated data analysts.
Klarna is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and candidates. Please refrain from including your picture and age with your application.
