TEAMThe Arene Data Platform Product Management team defines the customer and ecosystem experience to create the most programmable vehicle on the planet. Comfortable both thinking at the biggest scale and defining the most intricate technical details, our Product Managers own the business challenges, decide the strategic and operational direction and write the story of how our vision of a software-first mobility ecosystem becomes a reality.  As a part of the Arene Data Platform Product Management team, the cloud data management product team focuses on the collection, ingestion, processing of data from vehicles already available on the market. Engaging with our internal customers, making data-driven decisions, and driving creative solutions is what the team does.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are looking for a senior product manager passionate about software, mobility, and breakthrough customer experiences. As a Senior Product Manager of Cloud Data Management, you will own an end-to-end data collection and management platform, beginning with in-vehicle data collection application, cloud-based data management platform, and analytics tooling for data-driven decision-making.  You will work on a variety of topics and challenges ranging from a data-driven strategy for data collection to compliance with privacy and other governance-related topics. You will work with the group product manager of Arene Data Platform to establish a strategic roadmap. You will also manage a product manager of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development of the customer-focused product strategy and vision that are supported by internal and external stakeholders
• Define product roadmaps for each of the Cloud Data Platform’s product areas based on the team’s strategy and vision
• Develop detailed and impact-producing business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs of the deliverables in a logical and data-driven manner that will be supported by the management and stakeholders
• Work closely with engineering teams and agile coaches to deliver to market
• Manage and mentor product managers and motivate them to reach the common product goals
• Occasionally travel internationally

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of experience as a product manager or owner of a software product
• Experience managing a team of 3 or more people
• Fluency in Japanese (must). Communication in English (desired).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in automotive industry
• Experience in Agile Software Development
• Experience working with global teams
