Key Responsibilities:
·       Collaborating with the Product team, Data Architects and Data Modelers to understand requirements (both functional and non-functional) and data.·       Working as part of the development team in designing and developing end-end ETL and Data Mart solutions.·       Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement end-end solutions by identifying all components required for the successful delivery of the product.·       Creating and documenting detailed technical specifications and designs.·       Creating high level work breakdowns and estimates.·       Creating work plans which identify and sequence the activities need to successfully complete the project.·       Driving development through Agile software development methodologies.·       Reviewing solutions and code and ensuring delivery of quality products.·       Representing PointClickCare by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of PointClickCare products, industry and technical trends, and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative Required Experience:
·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline·       Strong hands-on development experience in the data space – ETL, Data Mart Design and Development, Analytics and Reporting·       Tuning SQL queries and through understanding and tuning of query plans, designing and loading (using ETL patterns) dimensional Data Marts. ·       Solid understanding of Data Warehouse, Data lakes principles and patterns·       Defining and executing data processing workflows using tools such as SSIS, Azure ADF, Apache Spark or Apache Beam and Orchestration tools like Airflow. Experience with data processing technologies like: Spark and DataBricks, Apache Flink·       Good working experience with Relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL etc.·       Understanding of Relational vs non-relational / NoSQL data store experience. Azure ADLS, DeltaLake, Apache Hudi·       Experience with cloud, big data (Hadoop, Cassandra etc.), and real time analytics·       Experience working and implementing distributed systems and building high scale and performant modern data pipelines (ETL, ELT, ADF, Batching, Streaming/Events)·       Knowledge of Batch and stream-based data processing using Apache Kafka, Azure EventHubs or similar·       Experience in working with Agile development methodologies (or similar) and with version control systems (such as GIT)·       Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills·       Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication·       Working knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Automated Unit TestingIt is the policy of PointClickCare to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law.
