Arctic Wolf, fresh off its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. How fast are we growing? Well, Arctic Wolf was highly ranked in the Deloitte Fast Technology 500 for North America in both 2019 (#25) and 2020 (#104)! We have doubled headcount, customers, and revenue for five years running.

We are also cultivating a collaborative and productive work environment that welcomes a diversity of backgrounds and ideas to make our teams even stronger. In fact, we are recognized as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work (bizjournals.com).

About the Team

Our team tackles some of the most difficult problems: taking the centuries of collective security knowledge of our security experts and scaling that across hundreds of billions of observations per day. We need your help to do it. We’re looking for someone to take our infrastructure and expand it to handle hundreds of machine learning jobs, trillions of daily events, and make it all effortless to use. If that sounds like a challenge you’re ready to tackle, we’d love to hear from you.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with machine learning and basic classes of algorithms (classification, regression, clustering, graph-based, time series, anomaly detection, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Spark, Java, and Python
  • Experience building out a machine learning pipeline
  • Previous team lead experience

Your Responsibilities

  • Build out our machine learning platform to handle hundreds of billions of observations per day
  • Add tooling for our data scientists to train, test, and get feedback on their machine learning models with minimal effort
  • Improve how we deploy, monitor inputs/outputs, and retrain machine learning jobs to scale to hundreds of models
  • Integrate with various data sources and anonymize the data for machine learning work
  • Mature our machine learning pipeline into a customizable platform, allowing data scientists and security professionals alike to update production jobs
  • Manage a growing team to deliver on quarterly goals
  • Work with other teams to gather requirements for the machine learning pipeline and help prioritize them

Interview Process

The interview process is approximately as follows:

  • Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.
  • Face-to-face interviews: Several team members conduct two interviews to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to collaborate on a technical problem and talk more about past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview.

Employment Requirements:

Each successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check and an employment verification as a condition of employment.
