The Data Science team plays a leading role in solving our most challenging problems and guiding the decisions that we take around product, marketing and operations. Information is only valuable when transformed into actionable insights, and it is through experimentation, high-tempo testing, rigorous measurement, and correct communication, that our teams achieve our audacious goal to establish Rappi as the super-app in LatAm

Role Objective

  • In Customer Value we are developing LTV, churn and purchasing probability models to better assign which user will require a marketing stimulus to continue operating with the platform.
  • Budget Allocation includes all the toolbox to provide to business levels all the necessary information to correctly allocate our marketing spend: dashboards, KPI forecasting, media channel elasticity analysis and automatic bidding.
  • Customer DNA is in charge of identifying users' preferences and similarities, in order to select the best stimulus for each customer and create recommendations based on the user's activity in the platform.
  • Every business area needs to optimize their resources, and in growth marketing we are the key area to accomplish that. If you join us you will have the opportunity to work on all these cutting edge modeling problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • 1. Lead our core group of data scientists within the Growth vertical, building ML/statistical algorithms and analytical tools that enable and support the business decision making process
  • 2. Integrate models and analytical results into our data and tech infrastructure, interacting with managers and senior management of our tech and product organizations.
  • 3. Clearly communicate analytical results to our C-level executives and key stakeholders, simplifying technical concepts and demonstrating a deep understanding of our business and the potential impact of analytical deliverables in our users and partners.
  • 4. Develop analytical frameworks on important strategic decisions of the Restaurants vertical, in order to ensure that we are delivering the best value proposition for our customers, commercial partners, and courier partners.
  • 5. Execute and deliver superior results under tight deadlines and challenging business OKRs, demonstrating an above average ability to deliver “Minimum Viable” analytical products

Key Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of analytics and predictive modeling, including experience with statistical models, deep learning, and deploying ML models into a production environment.
  • Python (preferably), R, or Java
  • Advanced SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience working in environments such as AWS (S3/EC2), Azure, Google Cloud and building, deploying, and managing applications within these environments (Airflow)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar field
  • Independent and responsible: We work fully remote, so we believe in our commitment to work

Desired Requirements

  • Previous experience in Marketing or Product Analysis is valuable.
