Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the startup machine learning specialist team and work with the top startups in the world as they build, innovate and push boundaries on AWS. If you have a passion for technology, AI/ML, and the ability to get stuff done— especially within the fast-paced, energetic startup ecosystem, then this is the role for you. In this position you will support the work of a global team of machine learning industry experts by bringing structure and scale to customer engagements, strategic initiatives, programs, events and marketing. You will be responsible for building mechanisms, delivering excellence in execution, tracking impact and driving data-based decisions. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable moving fast and at times navigating ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
· Support execution of first and third party event initiatives from conception and planning to delivery and tracking
· Drive key marketing initiatives including opportunity identification, organizing content creation and editing, publishing across channels and promotion; coordinate social media amplification
· Participate in creation of strategic programs and take ownership for developing mechanisms and processes to iterate, improve and deliver at scale and force multiply team impact
· Work across global teams to align on core initiatives and shared resources
· Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and co-develop projects
· Translate feedback, identify gaps, participate in strategy development and team work
You will work closely with a passionate team of ex-founder/investor/CxO industry experts to force multiply their knowledge and reach. In diving deep into the unique challenges and opportunities of this industry, and the crucial role AWS plays in accelerating artificial intelligence and machine learning advances, you will help customers across their startup journey -- supporting them at scale with a breadth of resources, relationships, and programs.

· BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience
· A functional understanding of the artificial intelligence and machine learning industry
· 5-10 years of relevant work experience
· 2-4 years experience working with or for (as a provider/partner) startups
· 2-4 years project management or related role
· Prior experience working in a similar role and working environment
· Previous cloud sales/knowledge, understanding of the lifecycle and needs of startups
· Prior experience helping advance customers' business objectives beyond just selling them products or services
· Deep interest in technology and the startup and venture capital ecosystem
· Technical experience in machine learning, an understanding of the technology, its applications and capabilities, and an understanding of the AWS machine learning portfolio
· Excellent sales, presentation, and communication skills
· Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and able to professionally interact with customers
· Ability to learn quickly, be creative, and take initiative
· Self-reliant, adaptable, decisive, and professional
· Able to function in a team environment
· Preferred location is San Francisco - final location is flexible with access to a major airport for travel purposes
