Our Data Science objectives are R&D activities and interdisciplinary approach to facilitate the use of cutting-edge methodologies, technologies and innovation in delivering syndicated products such as VIA or custom data science and analytics solutions to our clients.

In Data Science we work with the data from fast-changing consumer goods world. Data comes both from standardized databases and from online retail channels in various forms like semi-structured text in various languages, images, or precise numeric values.

We have already developed 400+ ML models which help us to identify consumer good attributes our clients are interested in.

As an Associate Data Scientist, you will join the team and assist in developing, maintaining and improving existing ML models according to our client feedback, and suggest new ways looking at the data which would result in new products. Besides this, you will have to use various data analysis techniques to ensure data quality and find business insights.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain ML models both for supervised and unsupervised learning;
  • Monitor and ensure data quality;
  • Communicate insights effectively in both written and visual way;
  • Support internal and external client requests;

Requirements

  • Background in mathematics/statistics/computer science/engineering or working experience in relevant field.
  • Experience with Python/R.
  • Knowledge of statistical modelling, analysis, data processing, and data visualization.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, understanding of cloud computing.
  • Statistically rigorous manner.
  • Basic experience in model training, validation strategies and hyper-parameters tuning.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing, image recognition – a plus.
  • Interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Good command of English in both verbal and written forms.
