The Role

You are an experienced Senior Data Analytics Engineer with an interest in ML platforms who is open to work remotely but with considerable overlap with the US-Pacific time zone. Your expertise will help bring transparency to dataflows for business end users and increase confidence that the correct data is being used to create our foundational reporting infrastructure. 

Cool Things You'll Do

  • Join a fast growing data team and company as data is brought to the foreground!
  • Be the primary point of contact that bridges business and engineering requirements.
  • Analyze and write custom data source integrations.
  • Maintain and communicate the transformations that are performed on raw data to make it available to Analytics.
  • Support our growing analytics team by documenting the core qualities of each data source in terms of the capabilities (various ways data can be pulled from the source) and the implementation (what is actually being downloaded).

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong experience in SQL and Python (Software Engineering as well as environments such as Notebooks)
  • Knowledge of a variety of ETL and Reporting tools/services such as Airflow, Trifacta, Fivetran, Dataflow, Looker, Tableau
  • Experience working with, managing, and maintaining ETLs for dynamic/automated data systems as data changes.
  • Experience with using scripting to manage data in a variety of environments such as moving data between cloud storage buckets, migrating data between various types of relationship database systems, etc. 
  • Desire to work on a new project and participate in the design and documentation activities related to the creation of new data structures.

  • Experience being the point of contact for Analytics teams
  • Experience working with ML platforms
