The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. The User Platform Insights team is a fast-growing and highly impactful team that sits under Platform R&D. The supports users from all sides of the Spotify ecosystem, and contributes multiple company bets that are crucial to Spotify's business.
We tackle problems in account security, support both users and artists, and build better experiences across the whole Spotify.

What you’ll do

  • Formulate hypotheses related to engineering effectiveness, product performances, & operational excellence, validate them from our datasets, and communicate these insights effectively
  • Work closely with each squad under User Platform to come up with analytical solutions
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, user researchers, product designers, and product managers across the mission to create and promote shared data-informed methods

Who you are

  • You have extensive experience, preferably working with engineering, and product design
  • You have relevant training in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • You possess statistical skills to perform advanced analytics (such as regression modelling, a/b testing and significance testing)
  • You have experience performing analysis with large datasets in a cloud-based data processing environment, such as BigQuery or similar
  • You are proficient in Python, R, SQL, or other scripting languages
  • You are familiar with data visualization tools, such as Tableau
  • You have knowledge in account security, fraud detection, or platform team in a technology company

  • For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.
