Data Analyst

Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Data Analyst to help develop the processes required for end-to-end product flow throughout the supply chain. Responsible for documenting key processes in Miro, the Process / Data Analyst also provides analytical and reporting support to the Process and Ops Readiness Managers.  

The ideal candidate is skilled in SQL, Looker, Excel/Sheets, Miro and Draw.io. They should have experience documenting processes and building logical business cases.  Ideally, they would also have retail and/or warehouse/fulfillment experience. 

What You’ll Do

• Help define the Operational processes required to support new business opportunities and growth, from a macro perspective and iterating to a step-by-step process map
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure a common understanding
• Analyze inventory, order and process data in order to correctly size the problem or opportunity and help to prioritize any changes or opportunities
• Support development of the business cases required to facilitate the ideal processes
• Spend time with teams across the organisation, especially front-line teams, to gain a deep hands-on understanding of existing process

Who You Are

• 2+ years of relevant experience 
• A track record of analyzing data to develop actionable insights despite obstacles, limited resources or landscape ambiguity
• Structured thinker, with the ability to bring clarity to complex scenarios
• Effective collaborator who is able to work across the organization to gather and understand different types of data and processes
• Proficiency with GSuite, Miro and equivalent software packages including process mapping software would be beneficial
• Comfortable analysing data sets to build business cases to support Tech development or capital investment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Industrial engineering and experience of working in a Supply Chain, Fulfillment Center or Retail environment would be beneficial
• Clear track record of working effectively in cross-functional team situations
• An ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
