Our Data Engineer will lead the early stages of development and implementation of the platform to drive the delivery of analytics and insights to provide visibility and enhance analytics engagement across the company. You will report to the Director of Business Intelligence and will join a team of dedicated, supportive, and enthusiastic people to help create the future of manufacturing. What You'll Do

  • Lead delivery of scalable data & analytics applications, actively coding and adapting them to ensure their resiliency and fit to requirements
  • Design, build, and test data pipelines in Python and SQL
  • Provide recommendations and input on data & analytics tech stack
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
  • Understand business needs and processes to develop requirements and functional specifications for data resources
  • Conduct quality and user acceptance testing and own implementation and training for new data resources
  • Maintain reporting environment to ensure consistency and drive analytics standardization across all areas of reporting
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
  • Review and providing feedback for improving existing data sources for increased efficiency as well as integrating new systems as they become available

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence in a startup or high-tech company
  • You have experience in building data sources with Python, SQL & R
  • You have experience working directly with business partners to capture and validate functional requirements and provide design specifications
  • You have the skills to build data infrastructure from scratch with limited direction
