Are you interested in using data to help drive product decisions? We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Data Analytics Intern who has an interest in mobile games to remotely join our team. You will get the opportunity to learn and work with some of the industry’s top product & analytics professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, while getting immersed in analytics that drives business decisions, from game economies to the user experience of our mobile games. This internship opportunity will be entirely remote and part-time (15-20 hours per week).

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S (Juniors or Seniors preferred) and able to intern remotely through late-April 2022.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Spring 2022 session. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)

AS A DATA ANALYTICS INTERN YOU WILL:

  • Work with product managers and designers to provide analysis of and insights into player behavior and overall game performance to drive product decisions using our top-of-the-line data warehouse.
  • Create easily interpretable live dashboards to allow for rapid analysis of product health, feature prioritization, event performance, and monetization.
  • Identify and drive analytics projects that you want to work on that will provide positive ROI for the studio and company.
  • Collaborate on machine learning/other data science projects to improve monetization and engagement.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. (Juniors or Seniors preferred) during the Spring 2022 program
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Majoring in a business or quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics)
  • Some experience using SQL (experience with statistics software, Python, R a plus)
  • Excel and data visualization tools experience preferred
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical models (linear/logistic regression, cluster, factor analysis)
  • Strong communication skills to articulate quantitative analysis - you enjoy translating data to non-technical users
  • Ability to plan, execute, present results on analysis projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Passion for mobile games and interest in the gaming industry
About Jam City’s Internship Program:
Jam City’s Spring 2022 Digital Internship Program will take place from February 7th - April 22nd and will be entirely remote. Students can expect a paid, part-time (15-20 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem-solving skills through real hands-on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest or passion for mobile games.
