8x8 is seeking Senior AI/ML Engineers and technical leads to join our analytics and data platform team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the 8x8 engineering team that is involved in the entire life cycle of development, from the browser to the database. You will be part of a team that owns high performance, mission critical services, from design to development, deployment and operation at scale.
Get the chance to work with a microservices architecture, add new features, solve day-to-day problems and contribute to system wide technical improvements. All this in an Agile run project that is continuously deployed in Kubernetes clusters hosted in AWS and OCI.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing modular, scalable and highly available software components
• Working with Java and libraries like TensorFlow, Apache Spark MLlib, DL4j, etc.
• Build and maintain stream processing jobs with Kafka, Flink, Spark etc.
• Understand the functional requirements and ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components. Ensure quality and maintain performance of deployed solutions

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience working with Java, Scala or Python
• Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
• Ability to analyze data, identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
• Communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights

Nice to have:

• Experience working with micro services in cloud based solutions 
• Experience working with cloud providers (e.g AWS, OCI) and cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, etc. 
• Experience working with stream processing frameworks (e.g. Flink, Spark, Storm, etc.)
• Familiarity with Hibernate, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Natural language processing
• Experience with Big Data stack of technologies, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Hbase
• Experience working with TensorFlow
