Responsibilities:

• Lead a new product / algorithmic engine to market
• Support, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists that will be applying algorithms to complex supply chain problems
• Collaborate with Product Management on defining requirements and understanding scope for new features / algorithms
• Remove blockers that would otherwise impede your teams from executing effectively
• Be involved in technical architecture and algorithm design decisions
• Hire, retain and motivate top talent across your team

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience applying data science techniques to supply chain problems
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• Familiarity with the tools of the team (python, Spark)
• Excellent understanding of data science principles enabling both contributions to solution designs as well as the ability to mentor team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• Ability to support and mentor both individuals and teams
• Knowledge of JIRA, GitHub, and the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience developing data science products being deployed to business users
