About the Role

The Community team builds products that connect 100M+ viewers to millions of live streamers in real time every day. Our technology helps ML engineers train more accurate and reproducible models, and provides product teams the ability to utilize personalization products to improve performance of each community experiences on Twitch. Reporting to the Foundations product director, you will partner with Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science and product teams to build the next generation of machine learning products at Twitch. You'll build trusted relationships with customers to inform prioritization and product roadmaps to support the end-to-end Machine Learning journey. You will also own scaling our existing systems and bringing new products to market from 0-1.

You Will:

  • Partner with our information, search and recommendations leads to define the future ML functionality for community Foundations
  • Prioritize requests across internal and external stakeholders based on the future vision of the ML platform within the Foundations team, of which you will define.
  • Gather user feedback and usage data to understand their goals and needs, validate product assumptions, and communicate requirements
  • Collaborate with engineers to manage scope and maintain a healthy balance between velocity and quality for new features
  • Strategize about roadmap decisions, discuss high-level vision, and share insights from your experience in the machine learning space

You Have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 3+ years as a PM: we firmly believe that Engineering, Science, TPM and Design experience is valuable for PMs and counts towards time in role
  • An understanding of ML, and the ability to map customer problems to ML solutions and direct experience working with machine learning teams
  • Experience delivering a product for technical users — software developers, machine learning practitioners, or data scientists — especially improving the developer experience of using internal tools or software library
  • Experience working in a startup context, with demonstrated experience taking product ideas from 0-1
