Data Scientist - Activity

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Activity squad. The activity squad develops features related to exercise and activity, including measurement of heart rate during workouts and detection of different types of activity. As the data scientist on this squad, your tasks will include investigating biometric signals collected during activity, working with designers and engineers to develop new activity-related product features, and training ML models to enable those features. You should be comfortable with both exploratory data science/statistics, and with contributing ML code to our production codebase. Our vision is to create a fully personalized solution for monitoring and guiding users’ exercise levels to optimize their health, and your work will be a core part of making this vision a reality.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team, if you:

• Are excited about bringing better health and wellness to hundreds of thousands of people worldwide
• Thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable, and highly collaborative work environment
• Have three of more years of work experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer, including developing models for deployment to product
• Have mastered a wide range of statistical techniques, and developed an intuition for what tool to apply in every situation
• Are adept at creating visualizations that make complex results understandable at a glance
• Are experienced in SQL and data wrangling
• Have experience in signal processing or time series analysis
• Have advanced skills in Python, including scipy/numpy
• Familiarity with any of the following a plus: AWS, pytorch
