Data Operations Lead - Japanese speaking (Remote)

The Role
Our team’s vision is to enable the agile commercial model in life sciences.
As a Data Operations Lead, you will be responsible for leading a remote team of 30-50 people who are responsible for creating new scientific expert profiles for Veeva’s Link product. The high-quality scientific expert profiles that our teams build are part of our ‘Veeva Link for Therapeutic Areas’ product that helps pharma customers enhance collaboration with experts.
You will ensure the overall achievement of key performance indicators such as quality and volume and will manage team members’ performance, and coach those team members that require additional support to achieve strategic objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead, scale and develop a team of data researchers who work remotely
• Manage performance regularly (KPI based operations management), ensuring the production of data in excellent quality
• Mentor and coach your team members to ensure the achievement or overachievement of the departmental and individual KPI’s such as Quality, Volume, and project delivery times
• Work alongside other leads and stakeholders to ensure the improvement and development of new and existing processed 
• Working with a cost-efficiency mindset; Improving cost efficiency within the operations department

Requirements

• Bachelors or higher degree in business studies, international management, supply chain, engineering, or life sciences
• 2+ years in an entry-level position in tech or pharma, related to working with data
• Experience coordinating, managing, or leading teams
• You have a hands-on and pragmatic attitude while being capable of dealing with constant change and being able to get things done independently in a timely and effective manner 
• You are highly motivated, not afraid to take ownership of tasks and projects, and have the determination to continuously improve our operations
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Native Japanese speaker
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working with large data sets
• Affinity to design and implement high scale & efficient processes
• Good Decision-making skills
• Good interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in an international and diverse work environment
• Experience with lean management, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement models
• Has previously worked in a distributed work environment with remote working employees
• Experienced in SQL
• Knowledge about scientific data in life sciences
• Additional APAC or EMEA languages are a plus
