We are looking for a Data Scientist who is passionate about driving long-term value for Spotify. You will draw insights from our partnerships, analyzing how our users discover and engage with audio content. You will be a key decision maker on a highly cross-functional team, and on the day-to-day define measures of success, run and measure experiments, and make data-driven recommendations that craft how we approach and optimize our integrations. You have strong metric & tracking implementation, experimentation, and data visualization experience as well as excellent communication skills to build and manage relationships with technical and non-technical teams.

What you'll do
- Analyze large sets of data, leading foundational analyses to develop deeper understanding of our users and product behavior
- Assess partnerships with data-driven analyses and proactively develop recommendations for internal and external product & marketing teams
- Support various business teams in evaluating future initiatives based on historical performance data from existing partnerships
- Build scalable data pipelines and dashboards to facilitate business performance tracking
- Work in cross-functional teams to identify ideal testing opportunities, set up and measure product tests, and develop & communicate strategic recommendations
Who you are
- You lean towards the business end of Data Science and are comfortable analyzing emerging projects. You are comfortable marrying data and intuition to glean insights and recommendations and distill the “so what”
- You enjoy building and maintaining working partnerships as this is a high-visibility role with touchpoints across departments across the company
- Comfortable performing analysis with large datasets (SQL), and using programming languages for analytics (Pandas, R, SPSS). Experience visualizing data and/or building dashboards (Tableau, Qlik Sense, matplotlib, ggplot2 or similar)
- You have excellent interpersonal skills with both technical and business audiences and are able to work in an often-changing, collaborative environment
- Strong eye for business, curiosity about partner-facing strategic work, and attention to detail
- You have experience designing, assessing and analyzing A/B tests or other methods of causal inference
Where you'll be
- We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
- For this role, it can be within the EMEA region in which we have a work location and is within working hours
- You will operate within the Central European time zone and have colleagues in both the APAC and Americas regions
