About the job

This position is needed to support the efforts of our rapidly growing International Product group within Twilio. The role will partner with International Product around building or modifying datasets to allow country by country breakdown of key metrics, provide easy-to-consume reporting and analysis around Addressable Market opportunities, and be a key partner in driving Twilio’s international expansion strategy.

Our Business Intelligence team has analysts supporting a large variety of departments around the company. Though each team member’s specific projects may differ, our team is built to foster an environment where everyone helps each other, we all grow together, and we empower Twilio with data insights, self service reporting, analytical solutions, and teaching best practices.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Draw the Owl and Be Bold: Develop a roadmap on where International Product data needs to be to best support the organization several years from now. Develop the right metrics to assess performance. Define a data taxonomy to drive insights in our International business. Identify critical 3rd party data sources to size market opportunities
  • Wear the Customer’s Shoes: Be a true partner to stakeholders, understand real questions behind requests and advocate for the best long term solutions. Support localized CX survey experiments.
  • Be an Owner and Write It Down: Be a true self starter who identifies needs, writes documentation for others, and takes ownership over analytic products that may require inputs from multiple stakeholders. 
  • Be Inclusive: Partner with various business units including Finance, Go to Market, and Data Engineering on requirements for new datasets and metrics.
  • Empower Others: Mentor junior analysts on the Business Intelligence team and help up-skill the organization.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in developing technical BI data solutions and providing business intelligence in a fast paced industry.
  • Proven ability to make strategic recommendations based on data to leadership.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational and multidimensional database schemas and designs.
  • Extensive experience with Tableau and/or Looker.
  • Experience with market research and supporting early launch stages of products.
  • Experience with SFDC.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with project management and communicating requirements to Engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and data science, particularly advanced forecasting techniques through either R or Python.
  • Experienced in working with dispersed teams located across the globe.
 

Location 

This role will be remote within the United States.

Colorado applicants: 

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $87,360 - $137,280
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
