Job Overview
TuSimple is the self-driving technology company with a mission to bring automation to the trucking industry. Software verification team plays a critical role in the mission. At TuSimple, the software verification team is responsible for testing the autonomous driving algorithm in simulation and verifying whether it is ready to be tested on the road.
What You'll Do:
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
What You'll Bring:
- BS/MS degree in Engineering or other related field.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Great analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
Preferred:
- 1+ years of professional experience working with autonomous vehicles.
- 1+ years of experience working in startup companies
- Strong python scripting skills
- Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new concepts using proprietary tools.
- UX design experience
