Role and Responsibilities
The Machine learning engineer will work on AI features for IT operations and IT Service management products at Atlassian.
Some of the important tasks that they would take up are:Take ownership of building, maintaining, and testing ML micro-services end-to-end.Continuously curate and collate validation datasets and perform periodical quantitative validation studies. They will work closely with the designers, and developers to plan the right experience and analytics required to perform qualitative user validation. They will also be responsible for communicating the results to non-technical stakeholders.Formulate the ML problem end-to-end, identify the right feasibility and usability validation techniques based on requirements given by product managers.
Required skills
Has experience building an ML process end-to-end: Beginning from problem formulation, experimentation to pipeline design, building model serving APIs, and deploying.Should be well versed and have experience in working with PythonHave worked with ML frameworks and libraries like PyTorch, Tensorflow, PySpark, Sci-kit, Numpy, Pandas.Has previously worked on ML technology like Language models, NLP, NLU, Anomaly detection, time series analysis. They should have worked on (or have knowledge) about models like Random Forest, XGBoost, SVM, and deep learning models like BERT, USE, SpanBERT, etc.

Good to have
Has experience fine-tuning pre-trained deep learning models, and deployed/used them in a production setting.Has knowledge of AWS services and orchestration designs - Lambda deployments, SQS, etc.Should have experience working with large-scale data for fine-tuning and validation.Experience in Java
