Blink was the result of one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns ever and is now part of Amazon Devices, the consumer electronics division that brings you the Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. Our mission is to provide peace of mind for home owners while they are way from home using our wire-free, battery-operated smart home security cameras.
We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in an extremely fast paced environment. The successful candidate can be a single-threaded owner of multiple facets of Blink’s data infrastructure, building out the infrastructure platform for Blink’s fast-growing Business Intelligence team.
Key job responsibilities
· Build scalable, efficient, and automated data processes to facilitate customer-facing reporting.
· Interface with other BIEs and technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, and ability to use a programming and/or scripting language to process data.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop high quality KPI/ metric dashboards that effectively track and analyze complex evolving business initiatives.
· Generate actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses.
· Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions.
· Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
· Design and implement large-scale data structures to support the business needs.
A day in the life
This role is responsible for designing a scalable backend and then producing critical analyses to produce Blink’s long-term strategy. The role will influence 3-year planning and all 4P decisions based on their analytics, with visibility to the top levels of senior management in Amazon Devices.
About the team
The Blink Sales & Data Analytics team is responsible for Blink’s commercial performance and long-term strategy, the latter formalized in strategic planning documents defining the companies strategy in 1-3 year time horizons. This includes pricing and promotional roadmap, business expansion, and new business development/growth strategy. All strategic commercial decisions including monetary (pricing, margin, discounts, marketing, etc.) and partner (channel strategy, retailer rollouts, in-store assortment, promo plan, etc.) flow through the team. The foundation of Blink's strategy is fundamentally data-driven, and our data team is responsible for consistently providing insights that will unlock growth opportunities and delight our customers.
· Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering)
· Experience in data mining, SQL, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
· Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java)
· Proficiency in Excel -should be comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Index/Match
· Experience with visualization software such as Tableau
· Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data

Basic Qualifications
