QA Engineer/ Data Engineer in Test

Position Summary:

The Data Engineer in Test will work on implementing Data Test Automation Framework to do data validation in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) from systems of record and operational data stores.  The Data Engineer in Test will get to work on best-in-class cloud technologies (Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS,Azure,Salesforce, Airflow etc).

Along with data validation in the Enterprise Data Warehouse, the Data Engineer in Test will work with Business & Data Analysts to create Test Strategy, Test Plan, Tool Selection, Automate Test Execution, User Acceptance Testing and Compliance Certification.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Test Data Pipelines from various sources (On-Prem, SaaS and API) to EDW
• Functional & Performance Testing, Bug Tracking and assist in troubleshooting and Problem Solving
• Understanding technical design and create Test Plan and Test Cases
• Assist Product Owners and Business Data Analysts in User Acceptance Testing.
• Create Test Automation Framework, Enhancement and Support

Required Skills: 

• 4 -6 Years’ Experience in Data Test Automation, Data Comparison and Validation
• Expert level knowledge in writing Complex SQLs for Data Testing
• Good Experience in Python, Java or other Programming languages
• Experience working in Enterprise data lake/ warehouse development projects
• Knowledge in Rest API
• Knowledge in Market leading Open-Source Tools for Quality Assurance
• Outstanding communication skills and strong team player
• Strong written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of Cloud Technologies in AWS or Azure
• Experience in a SaaS environment – Snowflake, Fivetran, Lambda, Airflow, Open-Source Tools
• Prior experience of using Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot etc
• Basic knowledge of BI Tools – Power BI, Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps tools – Github, Jenkins, Atlassian Tools, VS Code etc
• Unix knowledge
• Knowledge of Agile delivery

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
