Leader: Director, Finance Data Services & Analytics

As ATB’s next Principal Data Engineer, you will be accountable to promote best practices for using the Google Cloud Platform and reporting tools such as Tableau. In addition, provide training and operational support to CFO Portfolio’s users for ATB approved BI data, tools and technology. The position will also be collaborating with many different teams within ATB on how best to leverage ATB’s data platform.

Principal Data Engineer Accountabilities:

• Provide support for BI tools and technologies (e.g BigQuery datasets, Tableau, Google Sheets, Google Data Studio)
• Provide recommendations on Finance dataset usage in the BigQuery database.

• Best practice support for BI Tools and technologies for CFO Portfolio users
• Provide user training for BI Tools and Finance datasets
• Create business/technical documentation as required
• Collaborate with other Corporate teams eg) Finance, Treasury, Risk and Technology,Innovation and Engineering groups
• Provide support on different Data related projects as it pertains to Finance datasets
• Provide backup support for Director, Finance Data Services

Requirements

• Degree in Computing Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL or database management systems.
• Intermediate Data Integration Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of SQL , preferably in BigQuery.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and/or different cloud BI platforms
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace tools like Google Sheets/Docs
• Experience working with large datasets
• Experience with BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes technical report written skills.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, with quality control mindset and attention to details.
• Professional, friendly, courteous, respectful and highly motivated personality.
• Self-starter who works well independently as well as in team activities.

• SAP Bank Analyzer/S4/ERP knowledge
