Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled analyst who can use data to help us tell the story of Wayfair’s Security & IT Risk Management program using data, statistics, and analytics.  This data analyst must have experience with a variety of data problems and be able to work towards solutions that address operational, business, and technical requirements. They will be expected to report and analyze the data and derive conclusions to highlight key takeaways and important trends. The analyst will work across teams to deliver data visibility through enhanced data reports and automated solutions that streamline the reporting process.  The analyst will be expected to understand business requirements and deliver innovative solutions that inform on our current data processes and metrics.  We are an organization interested in continuous improvements and growing the maturity of our reporting program; we need an innovative individual who can deliver quick results to address current needs, while simultaneously planning for future improvement and ways to enhance our processes. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver solutions to improve Security, Privacy, Identity Access, and Risk operational tasks by streamlining data access, reporting, and automation 
  • Manage and update a monthly dashboard that highlights key performance indicators and trends across the Security & IT Risk teams
  • Implement innovative and automated data solutions that reduce labor and level of effort requirements
  • Perform exploratory data analyses to investigate data sets, capture key data findings, and propose solutions to stakeholders
  • Create and track relevant key risk metrics across teams to support the security and risk enterprise management programs and projects
  • Build reports to capture trends and design reporting dashboards to visualize metrics
  • Write scripts or data pipelines to extract, combine, and analyze data from multiple systems
  • Establish conclusive evidence, supported by data, to present to senior management

What You’ll Need:  

  • At least 2-5 years of data analytics experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive spreadsheet experience required (pivot tables, functions, and visualizations) 
  • Experience with SQL joins, aggregations, pivots, window functions, and other advanced functionality required (Google BigQuery SQL, PostgreSQL and/or T-SQL are a plus).  
  • Python or other programming skills preferred for enhanced data analytics and process automation
  • Preferred experience with visualization data tools (Looker, Data Studio, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with data extraction, manipulation,and blending across different data sources to build new data sets
  • Highly analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving difficult problems
  • Familiarity with different database schemas (structured & unstructured), ETL processes, ability to work with large data sets
  • Familiarity with concepts related to Docker, Kubernetes, and other microservice development tools are a plus. 
  • Experience with reporting in RSA Archer or similar GRC tools is a plus.
  • Ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Possess an affinity for data, and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available
  • Rudimentary understanding of statistical concepts
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and engineering stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and resources with a sense of urgency
  • Success working in fast-paced, innovative, agile, global culture
