We are currently in the process of expanding our world-class Strategy and Engagement team. The Strategy & Engagement team focuses on creating value and efficiency by leading and empowering both clients and our technical teams. These experts work with clients to lead machine learning & AI engagements with the purpose of achieving tangible business impact. In addition to this, they advise senior stakeholders on their ML strategy to maximise value from AI as well as scaling these initiatives across the organisation. We operate an inclusive culture within the team, supported by collaborative ways of working and formal L&D training to develop key competencies.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a new teammate!

As a Business Analyst, you will work across the commercial and delivery functions to develop, plan and manage the success of both the most strategic engagements and our commercial proposals within the Machine Learning & AI practice. You will work with clients to grasp their business needs and articulate how the ML system delivers value to the business by working with our technical and delivery teams. This will include providing advisory to senior stakeholders or leading internal strategic initiatives to improve our go-to-market and offering, among others.

Business translation of technology

  • Lead and enable our technical experts, delivery and client teams to ensure engagements are successful and provide business value, from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Plan and execute business and technical requirements gathering to inform new projects, changes to IT systems, product roadmaps and business processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively, run workshops and interviews with both technical and non-technical audiences

Strategy & advisory

  • Provide advisory and thought leadership within business technology (e.g. cloud strategy, ML/AI use case discovery, productionisation of ML models, implementation of MLOps platform)
  • Manage and influence long-term client relationships to shape cloud data roadmaps, ensure their successful development and drive adoption of cloud data solutions
  • Lead strategic initiatives related to Datatonic’s go-to-market, offering, delivery and other relevant business areas
  • Collaborate with team members within the Strategy & Engagement team

Other process and planning responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing processes & strategies, map and document business processes to identify areas of business/process improvement
  • Plan & co-ordinate enhancements and changes to existing & new systems, and processes (including analysis, design, documentation, testing, end-user training and implementation for key strategy projects and BAU changes)
  • Gather, validate and articulate business requirements for operational enhancements and projects
  • Create & evaluate organisational mapping (roles, responsibilities, processes and priorities)
  • Support or lead coordination of testing (UAT Cycles)
  • Support test plan creation and execution as part of release management of change
  • Create documentation for bespoke applications and solutions

Requirements

  • Previous work experience in consulting within a technical / data-driven environment is useful e.g. analytics consultant, product manager, engagement manager, business analyst
  • Results-oriented through structured problem-solving and excellent communication
  • Proven leadership skills, with strong entrepreneurial drive, in order to collaborate and work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly, prioritise tasks and perform under pressure
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics or STEM is useful
  • Previous experience as a product owner is useful
