Job Description

Overview

Provides advanced data analysis to drive actionable insights from operational data created and maintained throughout the ServiceNow Platform. Focus areas will include data modeling of the IT Asset and CMDB data to best support data sharing across the platform, data driven migration and implementation strategies for accelerating the migration to common service data model, and analysis to support business processes that depend on platform data such as service costing, IT Operations analysis, and risk calculations. Additionally, the role will manage the implementation and ongoing run of the TLS Certificate management sub process as part of the overall Global Service Asset And Configuration Management Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced data analysis of ServiceNow Platform to drive actionable insights
  • Analyze existing and emerging data integrations to ensure alignment common service data model
  • Fulfill advance request for information as needed to support business processes such as Service Costing, IT Operations analysis, and risk calculations
  • Analyze foundational data in platform for areas of improvement and optimization
  • Implement and manage ServiceNow TLS Certificate Management process
  • Works with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure that TLS Certificates are accurate and lifecycle managed.
  • Participates in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation.
  • May participate in projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.
  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience or combination or education, experience and training.
  • Minimum of four to five (4 to 5) years of experience with ServiceNow platform CMDB, Common Service Data Model, and related APIs
  • Knowledge of TLS Certificate Management and related data structures
  • Knowledge of Firewall configurations and re
  • Must have experience with big data analysis methodologies and techniques
  • Blend of knowledge and technical expertise in:

o ServiceNow administration, including CMDB and Common Service Data Model
o Scripting using Python, JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, RegEx, SQL, etc.
o Data Modeling and Design
o Network concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, NAT, load balancing.
o IT Operations and/or IT Service Management concepts based on best practices such as ITIL
o Protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST.
o Web and Application servers such as WebSphere, JBoss, MQ, IIS, Apache.
o Markup languages such as XML and JSON.
o TLS Certificate management concepts specifically around lifecycle management

  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes and practices.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • ITIL and Architectural Frameworks such as TOGAF a plus.
