Job Description
ARHS Digital is looking for a Chief Data Architect for one of its clients in Brussels, a key player in the Belgian social security sector.
As Chief Data Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of the client's data platform. You will also actively be involved in a strategy implementation aimed at evolving towards a more data-driven organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise the architecture of data warehouses.
- Define the conceptual modeling of the data & the processes of acquisition and integration of data including the management of master data and repositories.
- Supervise data architecture as part of analytical solutions projects.
- Ensure that the proposed architecture meets the needs of data security, and respect for privacy.
- Oversee the design of the data architecture and the technical architecture of the analytical data platform, including data acquisition and integration, data modelling, transformation and quality processes, master data management, data warehousing and data marts.
- Create a robust and sustainable architecture that takes into account current and future business needs, in view of budget constraints, data availability and resource requirements.
- Evaluate and select the tools and components necessary for optimal data management (data acquisition, data storage, data quality, data governance, data visualization and advanced analytics).
- Ensure that the technical architecture (of the data warehouse, including the physical components and their functionalities) is properly documented.
- Collaborate with the project teams (Project Managers, Functional Analysts and BI Developers) throughout the projects lifecycle.
- Assess the current technical architecture and estimate the system's ability to meet short and long-term processing needs.
Qualifications
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Good conceptual and analytical skills allow you to apply theory and concepts to practical situations
- Good communication skills and attentive listening, allowing you to facilitate collaboration and gain the support of the various parties involved
- Result-oriented, constructive and pragmatic problem solver
- Autonomous, but able to work collaboratively within a transversal organization
- Fluency in either French or Dutch is required
Technical skills
- 5 years of experience in data architecture and/or data management
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience in building data warehouses and analytics platforms
- Proven ability to develop data models
- Good knowledge & experience of data security practices & GDPR
- Knowledge of Cloud data solutions & migration
- Expertise in database administration and performance optimization
- Knowledge in several of the following technologies: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS & SSRS
- Knowledge in metadata management and master data management (MDM) would be considered an asset
