This role will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations and ongoing design/optimization of HR technology that supports People & Culture processes, administration, compliance, and reporting. This role will be the primary HR Technology liaison for both Workday implementation as well as ongoing development of the HR Technology roadmap which will include supplemental tools. This role will influence HR technology and related business processes to enable our People & Culture priorities and continually strive to build secure, scalable, solutions that support the business through intuitive user experience.
Located in either Emeryville, CA, or in a remote US location, this position reports directly to the Vice President, Global Total Rewards.

Responsibilities:
- HR Technology:
- Create and drive an HR Technology roadmap with cross-functional alignment and support, gathering and vetting broad stakeholder views and needs.
- Manage multiple and varied near-, medium- and long-term plans for leveraging HR technology at Amyris.
- Design and carry out system solutions and configurations for Workday modules globally.
- Drive discipline while ensuring agility and scalability of HR technologies.
- Develop, vet and lead a service model for change management initiatives and HR technology solutions request intake process.
- Direct projects, through HR, cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, that define, re-envision and adapt business processes and reporting/documentation needs.
- Lead Amyris engagement with and leverage the Workday Community to understand Workday capabilities and solutions that address business needs.
- Advocate for future product enhancements.
- Develop and facilitate access to a supportive and knowledgeable Workday user network.
- Plan for, lead and execute upgrades, additions.
- Develop, document and implement audit practices that ensure all HR-related systems comply with data protection laws.
- Business Process:
- Design, modify, influence, and implement technology-forward HR business processes which ensure scalability, high standards of compliance and user acceptability.
- In collaboration throughout HR, facilitate new and updated business process implementations. Develop and provide supporting documents, online tools and presentation/communications materials to facilitate adoption.
- Leverage and apply both HR functional knowledge and Workday technical acumen to influence business process and data capture design decisions that will promote scalability, appropriate flexibility, reporting capability and positive user experience.
- Design HR operations and HR administration processes that are documented, communicated and auditable.
- Apply business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements and inform and influence stakeholders and partners of options, risks, and impacts on other processes or systems.
- Oversee the development, documentation, communication of and adherence to a data management strategy and associated protocols, processes, and data retention.
- Data Analytics:
- Envision, build and implement an HR data analytics strategy informed by cross-functional leadership needs and requirements.
- Envision, influence, and implement HR data metrics and analytics that enable and impact trend analyses, needed course corrections and inform organizational and financial decision-making.
- Stand up the right service model for change management initiatives.
- Maintain data integrity in systems through developing standardized, documented audit processes and conducting regular audits.
- Design HR technology processes, guidelines and documentation that balance stakeholder needs with practicality and scalability of solutions.
- Leadership:
- Manage and lead the work and productivity of a small team of technical, operational and administrative staff.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of HR experience in a global, matrixed organization; with a significant contribution to and/or leadership of HR technology, operations and data analytics.
- Experience should include hands-on delivery of Workday implementations and ongoing support of HCM, reporting, business process and security.
- Proven experience launching or driving implementations requiring change management related to business processes on a global scale.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday HCM certified, preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools.
- Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies.
- Credibility and self-confidence to influence leaders and key stakeholders.
- Strong functional expertise with HR technology, HR operations/administration and analytical reporting.
- Strong detailed and conceptual thinking skills to analyze sophisticated problems and propose solutions despite technical and operational constraints.
