Job Description
As an engineer on the Sensing and Mapping team, you will be responsible for the generation of high-fidelity, efficient environment representations to enable fast, reliable robot autonomy and effective situational awareness for the user in uncertain, dynamic, and diverse scenarios. You will address challenges arising from room and city scale mapping, low bandwidth communications, and multi-agent exploration by developing state of the art mapping solutions. You will work closely with members from the state estimation, planning, and user experience teams to fulfill these requirements.   

What You'll Do:

• Collaborative real time mapping between several robots 
• Environment representations that are memory efficient and provide fast recall, such that a city scale map can provide room-sized details 

Required Qualifications:

• Either 2 years experience at a job solving real world robotics problems or a MS degree involving real world robotics problems 
• Experience with designing and executing experiments involving maps for robotics 
• Strong C++ and Python skills 
• You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
