Yembo's AI Team is hiring a Research Scientist specializing in 3D Reconstruction with strong photogrammetry and geometry fundamentals to drive development of 3D reconstruction algorithms in support of our virtual inspection products. In this role, you will prototype and develop solutions for critical product features and help architect a 3D reconstruction pipeline that leverages the unique constraints and benefits of smartphone video captures in indoor environments.

Requirements
- PhD in computer science or related field focusing on 3D reconstruction, or MS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or BS with 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Fluency in Python and C++ (and code to back it up!)
- Strong fundamentals in traditional, geometric 3D reconstruction techniques (e.g. SFM, SLAM, MVS) and numerical optimization (familiarity with nonlinear optimization frameworks such as Ceres Solver or g2o is a plus!)
- Strong software engineering skills with a demonstrated ability to work with and improve existing code bases (we love open source contributors!)
- Ability to move fast to prototype and iterate
- Track record of publications at top computer vision and machine learning conferences or relevant project ownership in a product-driven R&D role
Bonus
- Familiarity with deep learning techniques for 3D reconstruction and differentiable rendering
- Familiarity with graphics APIs
- Familiarity working with Docker containers
- Familiarity with CUDA
- Prior experience working at a startup
