We currently have a career opportunity for a Business Data Analyst to join our Data Solutions Consulting team located in Jacksonville and Deerfield Beach FL. 

 

Job Overview:

The role of the Business Data Analyst is for individuals passionate about identifying and delivering the right Business Data solutions for each client. Our Business Data Analysts have a keen Business orientation with an understanding of how technology can be effectively applied to meet a variety of Business needs.

The Business Data Analyst may be involved in the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future IT direction. Once a project has begun, the Business Data Analyst  may assist in facilitating key requirements with stakeholders and customers using standard and User Experience techniques. The Business Data Analyst may be responsible for functional designs, detailed designs and system mapping, wireframes, requirement specifications, and prototypes.

The Business Data Analyst works with the Lead Business Consultants and Senior Project Managers to assist with daily operations exercising time management, communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Business Consultant will interface with Perficient technical and business delivery personnel, as well as vendors and customers on a regular basis.

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand application needs and articulate requirements for development teams.
  • Collect and analyze data to provide insights for short-term and long-term forecasts.
  • Build reports and dashboards that enable the study of data for operational planning and problem-solving.
  • Understanding of operational details including inventory management and inventory flow, staffing / labor management
  • Able to quickly identify and communicate issues within this process and make recommendations or offer solutions to remedy issues.
  • Analyze workforce data, generate reports on projected needs, and advise on resource allocation across multiple locations.
  • Build and maintain interactive tools using Power BI and similar business intelligence software.
  • Deliver presentations and training sessions on data analysis results and usage of interactive tools to stakeholders.
  • Identify and interpret data patterns to form hypotheses about operations, focusing on logistics and workforce management, and proactively communicate potential disruptions.
  • Act as the primary contact and report producer for tracking business volumes and analyzing transportation and capacity schedules.
  • Offer strategic guidance to various business units to support process improvements that incorporate technological advancements.
  • Lead the creation of daily and monthly operational reports.
  • Enhance efficiency by automating routine reporting tasks.
  • Continuously seek and implement innovative solutions to address business challenges and fulfill information needs.
  • Handle additional tasks and participate in projects as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in resolving issues and handling escalations related to requirements and processes.
  • Evaluate development team deliverables and provide feedback to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.
  • Prioritize work items and product backlog in alignment with customer vision and goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Data or Business Analyst
  • Experience in the Automotive industry, Supply Chain a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in release management and promotion processes is a plus. 

 The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $45,864 to $101,520. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
