Description

We seek a Senior Software Engineer in Data Engineering who will help deploy and maintain scalable combinations of people, processes, and technology that ensure best practices in campaign planning/execution, lead generation, segmentation, and data management. You will be expected to stay abreast of industry and technology trends, write detailed technical documentation, troubleshoot issues, and continuously enhance our marketing infrastructure. This role stays proficient in the Adobe Experience Platforms and would involve designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines and solutions that integrate seamlessly to support our marketing and analytics efforts.
  • Work with analysts and their data sets in SQL, Python, and R to optimize and troubleshoot ways to ingest into our Customer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Maintain knowledge of data elements and Adobe Experience Platform in the maintenance and definition of segment, event, and attribute rule sets
  • Develop data pipelines from disparate data sources to support both the analysis and activation of contact acquisition, engagement, and retention programs via our CDP
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to build nimble audience segments data requirements gathering and support questions for audience segmentation
  • Deploy pipelines and infrastructure in both proof of concept (POC) and production form to support the CDP initiatives
  • Develop data sets across data lakes like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Red Shift
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support combinations of platforms and infrastructure across the organization
  • Consult with business owners on establishing and improving KPIs within the Customer Experience

Your Job Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role with significant exposure to the Adobe Experience platforms.
  • Strong experience in data integration and engineering tools such as SQL, Python, and R
  • Proficient Experience administering or implementing Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions (including Analytics, Target, Experience Platform, CDP, etc.)
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience creating & deploying data pipelines across vast data repositories, web properties, and silos and being able to use & learn Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, APIs, etc. to surface reliable data for analysis.
  • Extensive background in both educating stakeholders and developing reports or dashboards to support the needs of the organization across multiple initiatives and programs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Good To Have 


  • Certifications in Adobe Experience Cloud products.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced reporting and other data analysis tools and/or code sets (e.g., Qlik, Tableau) are a plus
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS, Redshift, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
  • General understanding of data transformation, ingestion, transfer, mining & augmentation

Success in this role means having designed and implemented robust data pipelines that enhance our Customer Data Platform's functionality within the first six months. It involves the successful integration of data sources and providing scalable solutions for campaign execution and analysis, leading to measurable improvements in campaign effectiveness and customer engagement metrics.
