Work you’ll do:

We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Consultant to join our dynamic GCP team. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing operations by designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify data-driven opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Design and develop data pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, transform, and cleanse manufacturing data from various sources (e.g., sensors, machines, production systems).
• Utilize your knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes to ensure efficient data flow and scalability within the data pipelines.
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions) to store, manage, and analyze manufacturing data.
• Develop and maintain test scripts in Python or SQL to validate the functionality and accuracy of data pipelines and data transformations.
• Gain experience with Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI to explore possibilities for AI-powered process optimization and anomaly detection in manufacturing.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for manufacturing teams.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven solutions and suggest improvements.
• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in GCP technologies and manufacturing data analytics best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with data analysis concepts and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Basic understanding of data pipelines and data warehousing principles.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services.
• Familiarity with Kafka and Kubernetes (a plus).
• Experience with building test scripts (Python or SQL) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for learning and staying current with new technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
