Software Engineer III - AI/ML, Python

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the DISTRIBUTED LEDGER TECHNOLOGIES team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Designs and develop machine learning algorithms and deep learning systems
• Trains, retrain, and monitor machine learning systems and models as needed 
• Constructs optimized data pipelines to feed machine learning models
• Develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in distributed system design and development , data structures and  data modelling.
• Strong API development using micro services, understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Knowledge on AI / ML models and In-depth knowledge of Python based machine learning frameworks / libraries.
• Experience in building Python based analytical applications.
• Experience in deploying applications on Public Cloud (AWS) using Kubernetes / Helm charts.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• SQL, No-SQL Database knowledge (My SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Object oriented programming experience in Java
• Experience on Messaging technologies
