A Little About Us:
Digital Transformation is a highly critical initiative for Yahoo Mail and Communications Org. As a part of the effort, we are modernizing our current tech stack on public cloud while building new cloud-native components, systems and tools to support wide range of core features and functionality. Yahoo Mail is the second largest Email provider in the world with very large number of highly active users, and thus very high throughput and scale. We need highly qualified engineers to make critical contributions to Digital Transformation and next generation of Yahoo Mail tech stack.

You are a self-starter with a passion for creating software systems, infrastructure and platforms on public cloud at scale. You have passion to improve the experience for millions of Yahoo Mail users around the world. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and learnings, and to prioritize multiple tasks and challenges in order to keep pace with an innovative and changing product and technical landscape. Your strong technical background, innovation and clear communication skills will serve you well in this demanding role, as will your comfort working with our high-energy team.

Your Day:

• Design, Develop and Deploy large scale software systems, platforms, infrastructure on public cloud at scale
• Build cutting-edge highly scalable Machine Learning infrastructure/platform to support multitude product needs across Mail classification, entity extraction and summarization using Generative AI and Deep Learning.
• Work seamlessly in an individual and team settings on cutting edge innovative technologies
• Participate in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews

You Must Have:

• M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent 
• 4+ years of experience in Software/Infrastructure development primarily developing highly scalable ML Ops/ML infrastructure on public cloud. GCP Vertex AI experience is a must
• Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch etc) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn)
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, tools and technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Terraform, Containerization)
• Practical core knowledge of algorithms and data structures

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $266,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
