Work you’ll do:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles and a proven track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and performant data solutions.                          

• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Dataflow, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Transform and ingest data from various sources, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and streaming services.
• Create and manage data lakes and data warehouses using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Curate and prepare data for analytics, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Develop semantic layers to provide a unified view of data across multiple sources.
• Implement database as code practices using Terraform or Cloud SQL.
• Utilize the GCP suite of products to manage and govern data assets.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
• Stay abreast of emerging data engineering technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on GCP.
• Strong in Vertex AI, Vertex GenAI, Python, SQL/DBMS, and GCP Cloud is a must.
• Proven experience in developing and managing data pipelines and GKE + Dockers.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data quality.
• Expertise in SQL and Python.
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, TigerGraph).
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
