About the role

As a Data Developer within the Customer Management team you’ll play a key role in building, monitoring and maintaining the processes that our customer communications teams rely upon, to effectively engage with and manage our customers.

As part of the role you will:

  • Understand business requirements and build robust data processes to support campaign selections, customer profiling and campaign performance reporting and analysis.
  • Work within an agile framework to develop robust, well tested, well documented solutions.
  • Manipulate large volumes of data across multiple sources and systems, developing a deep understanding of the wide variety of data sources available.
  • Collaborate closely with Campaign Selections, Marketing and Technology teams to ensure customer communications are implemented as effectively, accurately and in as automated a manner as possible.
  • Peer / code review with other team members.
  • Keep appraised of new / emerging technology that relates to the data technology stack.

About you

  • You’ll be a skilled developer, ideally with SQL or SAS experience - though we can build upon this by teaching you the unique pieces of kit we use across the teams.
  • Along with a logical mindset and common-sense approach, you’ll be able to visualise and articulate how multiple systems and processes interact with each other.
  • You’ll have proven experience in developing and rigorous testing of technically complex projects.
  • You’ll be comfortable communicating on all areas of your work, able to deliver technical information to technical and non-technical audiences with ease.
  • You'll be passionate about technology and embrace change and the opportunity to expand your knowledge.
  • You’ll be curious, analytical and logical by nature with a keen eye for detail.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • Agile exposure with Scrum using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Exposure to data modelling and data warehousing.
  • Experience of developing in a cloud-based environment.
