Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. Apple is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Worldwide Sales Data Operations team. In this position, you will lead immersive exploration of Apple’s marketing and sales datasets by applying various data discovery and modeling methodologies while working cross functional with different data owners and analysts. You will work from inception of a specified business problem through delivery and evolution of data solutions to support our Channel Sales teams and drive impact for years to come. Key Qualifications


  • 8+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or similar role
  • Experience profiling data to assess current state against business needs and identifying criteria to evaluate exceptions
  • Ability to translate business needs into detailed data requirements, supported by prototyping the data requirements to drive business decisions
  • Knowledge of Marketing and Sales business workflows and applications
  • Familiarity with data integrations, modeling and warehousing principles
  • Knowledge of version control and testing strategies for data solution delivery
  • Programming skills in SQL required
  • Experience with agile project delivery methodologies such as Scrum
  • Deep understanding of best practice data governance and master data management workflows
  • Ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, with the ability to filter and distill relevant information for audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with large software implementations is a plus


Description


In this role, you will: - Be responsible for functional testing of data development to ensure adherence to functional specifications. - Support the data decision making process by analyzing data and providing prototype results per requirement so the data owners can make informed decisions - Perform scheduled data audits to ensure quality compliance - Plan and drive execution of prioritized data cleansing activities - Proactively communicate data methodology and results to a diverse set of stakeholders - Partner with data stewards, data architects, data scientists and engineering teams to meet the data needs of the business, translating business needs into data / technical requirements - Ensure effective and efficient data management by upholding Apple’s high standards for data governance and quality

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,000.00 and $223,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
