Job Description

Support all processes within the Data Management department as a Subject Matter Expert. This position will also support the enhancement of various data accuracy and quality initiatives and programs by monitoring and analyzing consumer credit data and participating in project work associated with those programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise to the data management team and other groups within Experian.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage plans for project implementations.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks and all critical path activities.
  • Master industry regulations, standards, and business rules to include data validation/accuracy checks.
  • Execute queries and command line statements that are in line with data maintenance requests.
  • Identify and implement methods to improve efficiency in data loading, reporting quality, and accuracy.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
  • Provide input in areas that require processing enhancements.
  • Assist with operational escalations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot data loading errors and inconsistencies while following the established processes and procedures.
  • Engage with data furnishers, both written and verbally, while validating submitted data or executing project work when appropriate.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings to review escalations, worst cases, and any blockers that limit the ability to perform assigned duties.
  • Escalate appropriate issues to senior team members while owning the overall issue resolution.
  • Research and assess reporting history prior to and during all work related to data furnishers.
  • Field support calls directly from data furnishers and other internal personnel as required.
  • Enroll in and pass assigned training that is within the role’s area of responsibility.
  • Participate in internal project and change acceptance testing as directed.
  • Provide input in weekly change reviews and in areas that require processing or procedural enhancements.

    Qualifications

    • Strong skills in SQL and relational database technology.
    • Strong process management and project tracking skills.
    • Understanding of ETL.
    • Proficient in data analysis tools and report development (Tableau, Alteryx, Excel).
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
