The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.
This role will work in domain of Autonomous Drive and Automated Driving and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (AD/ADAS), design and develop algorithms and systems that achieves world understanding. This role is expected to have a deep understanding of modern neural network architectures and hands-on experience of large-scale model training and deployment.
Relocation assistance (domestic or international) is not provided for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement algorithms for various multi-task perception and scene understanding problems
  • Optimize, evaluate, and deploy the perception solutions for our autonomous driving system
  • Evaluate state-of-the-art technology and research in the field
  • Be highly collaborative and work closely with research and engineering teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline (mechanical, computer, computer science, mechatronics, electrical, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of computer vision, machine learning, and robotics
  • Hands-on experience with multi-sensor system and sensor fusion
  • Comfortable with deep learning frameworks, e.g., Pytorch, Tensorflow
  • Strong coding skills in C++ and Python
  • Valid Driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
  • 2+ years of industrial experience in autonomous driving
  • Hands-on experience of training and deploying foundation models
  • Publications on top-tier AI/CV/Robotics conferences 
The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $135,000 - $168,890.
