LMI is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to provide support to our VHA customer in activities related to Healthcare Architecture Modernization. - Serve as a Business Analyst supporting the Integration and Reference (IR) team
- Assist business architects in taskings and analysis work, including identification and analysis of reference architecture and integration support
- Assist business architects in defining the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data
- Perform analysis and mappings of internal and external concepts to architecture products
- Assist business architects in developing logical or conceptual models to depict relationships of internal and external concepts to architecture products
- Assist with maintenance of products, reports, and reference materials under the direction of business architects
- Work with team members to propose solutions that solve/alleviate client problems
- Provide regular status reporting and quarterly status briefs on ongoing team work efforts
- Assist with support to IT governance activities regarding capital allocations to programs
- Participate in team meetings and assist with development of meeting materials and minutes, as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Informatics or related field
- 1-3 years relevant experience performing business analysis, process/information modeling, or requirements capture
- Collects, organizes, models, and analyzes healthcare related data using analytical and/or statistical tools
- Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
- Provides correct and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data
- Develops useful methodologies for analyzing and presenting data analysis products using statistics, graphs, images and lists that communicate results to leadership
- Assists other functional area analysts as needed with data analysis and generation of SQL to be used in that analysis
- Familiarity with business architecture concepts or principles
- Experience performing “mapping” or “traceability” among architectural constructs (e.g., processes, information/data, capabilities, systems, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technical and analytical skills
- Direct customer engagement experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Eligibility to obtain a VA clearance, to which you must be a US Citizen.
Desired:
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent a plus
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman) a plus
- Experience working on government contracts/projects (specifically with VA or DoD) a plus
- Experience in Healthcare Data Analytics
