Job Description
As a Business Data Analyst at Storyous, you'll be responsible for leveraging data analysis techniques to address business queries, identify improvement opportunities, and drive informed decision-making. Collaborating closely with stakeholders from Business, Product, and Finance, you'll dissect complex business issues, define requirements, and provide invaluable insights to support the success of our projects and initiatives. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of strategy execution, engage in challenging assignments, and work in a culture that values creativity and hands-on involvement.
Your Mission:
Work on projects including, but not limited to, Financial Reporting, Product Analysis, Onboarding Funnels, Customer Activity, Churn, and Customer Operations, transforming large quantities of data into insights for informed decision-making.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, marketing, finance, and product management.
Manage business stakeholders effectively and drive initiatives to promote actionable insights, identifying and prioritizing requirements, and owning a roadmap to completion.
Analyse external customer and internal business data to optimize and improve our product.
Design predictive models to accurately forecast numbers and evaluate them against budget and actuals.
Communicate technical and non-technical information effectively to diverse audiences, facilitating meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders.
Foster and promote a data-driven culture across the business, aiming for increased self-service and better interpretation of data insights.
Qualifications
Your Story:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a business analyst, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and relevant analytical tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information effectively.
Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to lead small to medium-sized projects independently.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
Ability to elicit, document, and manage detailed business requirements, translating business needs into specifications for development teams.
