We are seeking an AI Engineer with a passion for approaching problems differently. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in AI principles and technologies, with a track record of implementing AI solutions that drive efficiency and growth. This role requires an entrepreneurial self-leader who can identify opportunities for leveraging AI across the business and contribute to projects from concept through to implementation. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Develop and deploy advanced technologies such as LLMs, financial models, and document processing to enhance operational efficiency. 

• Help design and drive the implementation of a scalable and robust core AI platform and models to enhance operational efficiency. 

• Collaborate closely with investment professionals to translate complex workflows into AI solutions. 

• Build integrations of AI technologies into the existing tech stack, ensuring seamless deployment and operation. 

• Provide hands-on technical expertise and core architectural insights, using an Agile programming approach to deliver commercial software solutions. 

• Stay updated on the latest AI research and technologies, evaluating their applicability to our business objectives. 

• Passion for clean, maintainable code and always looking to improve engineering skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. 

• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging professional growth through open communication and collaboration. 

• Work closely with the Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance team to ensure AI platforms meet industry standards and guidelines. 

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years working in Finance or related industry environment. 

• Strong ownership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 

• Ability to actively coach less experienced team members and be an influencer in the team.  

• Solid hands-on experience in Python and CI / CD tools (e.g., Github, Docker, Jenkins). 

• Familiarity with GenAI chat bots and effective implementation. 

• True NLP (Natural Language Processing) experience or a strong background in data science. 

• Demonstrated ability to apply existing models to real-world applications; not looking for model training but rather application usage. 

• Experience in collaborating on small POCs (Proof of Concepts) with other engineers. 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment, meeting deadlines and prioritizing competing demands. 

• Motivated individual with a proactive approach, ready to take on projects within a small and agile team. 

• Exemplary interpersonal skills and comfort in handling sensitive information and confidential situations. 

• Comfortable challenging peers and leaders to drive strategy forward.

Pay Range

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
