Data Science Engineer – Contractor

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics consulting services and product firm that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking candidates for a talented Data Science Engineer to join our team.

As a Data Science Engineer, you will be expected to take existing data science models and productionalize their operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, including experience with Azure, ETL processes, Python and SQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Productionalize an existing prototype applying standard software development procedures and deploy on Azure platform.
  • Ability to understand, assess, and explain the underlying data science techniques like forecasting and optimization.
  • Create and automate data pipelines as necessary.
  • Design and develop scripts necessary for the data extraction processes. Automate the data extraction processes if necessary.
  • Work on Data analysis and Development related assignments as required.
  • Design and write tests to cover as much of the code as possible.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience

or

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Expertise in statistical and data analysis
  • Experienced in Python, SQL & Data Pipelines
  • Familiar with Scrum Methodology & JIRA
  • Excellent written, verbal skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Platform.
  • Experience in deploying models on Azure Machine Learning/ AI Studio a plus.
  • Travel: 80-100% - most work done at client site
